Job summary

Barnes & Noble College in Hoover, AL is seeking a Part-Time Supervisor to lead daily campus store operations and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This frontline role works with store leadership to coach the team and ensure smooth execution of priorities.

You will engage with students and faculty, support opening/closing duties, merchandise, inventory, and POS transactions, and help build a welcoming retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of retail experience preferred.
• Ability to coach and motivate team members in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example on the sales floor and coach team members.
• Support opening and closing responsibilities and act as Manager-on-Duty when assigned.
• Assign work, monitor progress and ensure daily priorities.
• Maintain knowledge of all store departments to assist customers.
• Resolve customer questions professionally and escalate when needed.
• Assist with merchandising, inventory, and POS transactions.
• Promote safety, cleanliness and organized shopping environment.
