Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service and team development. This role includes assisting with day-to-day store activities, organizing merchandise, opening and closing procedures, supervising and training Store Associates, and ensuring a safe, neat, and welcoming shopping environment.

You will also help implement corporate directives, protect store assets, manage cash handling and loss prevention, and uphold company

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience managing a store in retail, grocery, or drug store
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent standing/walking

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional displays and store-front fixtures
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect store assets including cash and adhere to safety policies
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
