Job summary

Barnes & Noble College in South Bend, IN, is seeking a resourceful part-time Supervisor to assist the management team, oversee department staff, and deliver outstanding customer service to the campus community.

You will coach on the sales floor, train team members, and ensure proper merchandising and store operations while handling transactions and maintaining safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a retail setting preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of time on the selling floor coaching and modeling Wow customer service.
• Train and oversee the daily work activity of team members in one or more departments.
• Ensure area is maintained, properly merchandised and the store is operationally sound.
• Assist in the daily operation of the store and act as Manager-on-Duty in the absence of the manager.
• Assist with assigning work and guiding team members to manage multiple projects.
