BARNES & NOBLE COLLEGE seeks a resourceful, driven, adaptable, and customer-focused team member to work every week, year round for at least 30 hours each week as a full-time Supervisor. The Supervisor will provide assistance to the management team and oversee staff within a department or store while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities include coaching on the sales floor, training teammates, ensuring proper merchandising, assisting with daily operations, and supporting loss

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a retail setting preferred.
• Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• Basic reading, writing and accounting skills required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Spend the majority of time on the selling floor delivering, coaching, and modeling exceptional customer service.
• Maintain knowledge of all departments to provide daily support and guidance.
• Help resolve customer issues and escalate when necessary.
• Assist in daily store operations and act as Manager-on-Duty in absence of the manager.
• Assist with processing sales transactions and maintain proper merchandising.
