Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Corbin, KY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, help customers, and ensure merchandise is well-organized on the sales floor and in stockrooms.

You will also contribute to opening/closing procedures, supervise and train Store Associates, and uphold safety and company policies in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment is advantageous.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks typical of retail work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store areas and secure store assets
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure associates follow procedures
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
