Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Louisville, KY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities and lead associates to uphold company standards.

Responsibilities include organizing merchandise flow from delivery to sales floor, performing opening and closing duties, and maintaining a safe, welcoming shopping environment while supporting the Store Manager in training staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures and ensure staff comply.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; handle bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
