Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Westmont, New Jersey. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure a clean, organized sales floor.

The role involves opening/closing procedures, supervising and training associates, handling merchandising, payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention while maintaining a positive, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical store duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address any questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays and ensure store cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; maintain a safe, respectful environment.
• Ensure store areas are neat, well-stocked, and compliant with policies.
