Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Manville, NJ to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, and helping with opening/closing procedures to ensure smooth operations.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent; retail management experience is preferred. The position requires strong communication and the ability to work in a high-energy team environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure compliance by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
