Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Glassboro, NJ to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and ensure the store meets company standards.

This part-time role involves opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling, loss prevention, training Store Associates, and maintaining a safe, clean environment. Opportunity for growth within the store team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays and ensure promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, maintaining payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines; ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with professional customer interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
