Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Sharon, PA to support store operations, customer service and team development. This role involves assisting with daily store activities, merchandise handling, and ensuring store standards.

You will help supervise Store Associates, uphold safety and policies, and maintain a clean, organized environment while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives (e.g., merchandise schematics) required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Must lift up to 55 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment required
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy and other communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts
• Assist in ordering merchandise and processing damaged merchandise; payroll, scheduling, deposits/receipts, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure associates follow policies
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff
• Ensure store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation
• Other duties as assigned
