Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Lancaster, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and ensure clean, well-stocked floors, while upholding store policies and delivering excellent customer experiences. The role involves supervising associates, training staff, and maintaining a safe, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized, protecting store assets including cash.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety guidelines, and proper operations by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
