Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day functions, help customers, organize merchandise from delivery to floor, and perform opening and closing procedures.

You will assist in payroll, scheduling, cash deposits/receipts, and loss prevention, while maintaining a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling and cash handling.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, friendly environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean and orderly, including bathrooms and floors.
