Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help supervise daily tasks, organize merchandise, and maintain a clean, inviting sales floor.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to lead and train associates in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time position based in New Jersey with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
