You will assist with merchandising, employee scheduling, cash handling and loss prevention while upholding company policies. The position emphasizes a positive, safe work environment and ongoing associate growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent manual tasks
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain store areas to company standards and ensure fixtures are attractive
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and cash handling
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash
• Ensure safety policies are followed and staff adhere to procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop store associates
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming store environment
