Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Lake Placid, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor while maintaining seasonal displays. The role requires strong communication and team skills, with a focus on safety, payroll/scheduling, and loss prevention.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong written, interpersonal, and communication skills are required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Open and close procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures by associates.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms and floors.
