Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development in Marathon, Florida. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, organize merchandise, and ensure the store meets company standards on the sales floor.

The role emphasizes leadership of store associates, loss prevention, and maintaining a safe, friendly environment while following corporate directives and policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process all corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
