Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Longwood, FL to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, organize merchandise, and help train Store Associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash receipts, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Help store manager supervise, train, and develop store associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep the store clean; restock bathrooms, sweep and mop floors, take out trash, and keep areas neat.
