Job summary

Lids Sports Group in Traverse City is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to lead daily operations and assist the Store Manager in driving performance. You will guide a team of sales associates to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure store standards are met.

Responsibilities include scheduling, inventory control, merchandising, and ongoing training. This role requires a hands-on leader who can foster a collaborative environment and achieve KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues or customer complaints in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Manage store associates through training programs, goal setting, and regular follow-up when the Store Manager is not present.
• Administer progressive discipline including verbal and written warnings when the Store Manager is away.
• Engage team members by creating a fun and productive environment that supports company objectives and store success.
• Ensure adherence to Lids Brand Standards including dress code and professional appearance.
• Assist in recruiting and training store personnel on proper store operations and procedures.
