Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC in Washington, IN is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily operations, serve customers with a positive attitude, and develop team members.

You will participate in opening/closing duties, merchandise organization, payroll and scheduling tasks, loss prevention, and ensure store standards and safety. This part-time role offers growth within a national retail chain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and be physically capable of frequent movement and lifting

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and protect assets
• Train and develop store associates and ensure a respectful work environment
