Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Valparaiso, Indiana location. The role focuses on helping the Store Manager drive sales, curb loss, and maintain a welcoming environment for customers and associates.

Daily duties include assisting with opening and closing procedures, supervising associates, organizing merchandising, processing shipments, and ensuring safety, cleanliness, and compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Support Store Manager in training and development of associates.
• Handle merchandising, inventory, and seasonal areas.
• Open and close the store as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
