Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Indiana LLC is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a busy retail environment. You will assist with daily functions, merchandise flow, and professional interactions with customers and staff to maintain high standards of service.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, scheduling, loss prevention, and ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional displays and store front fixtures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Augment training and development of store associates; supervise where needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
