Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in our Tampa, FL location. You will assist with day-to-day functions, organize merchandise, supervise associates, and ensure a clean, safe store environment in line with company standards.

This role emphasizes strong communication, problem solving, and high-energy teamwork to deliver excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store env. preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking, standing, kneeling, and bending.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and related communications.
• Maintain storefront fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized per company standards.
• Protect company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and ensure staff compliance.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Ensure store cleanliness, restrooms, floors, and trash are maintained.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.
