Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Tampa, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee store operations, deliver great customer service, and develop the store team. You will support daily functions, merchandise organization, and ensure opening and closing procedures.

You will train and supervise Store Associates, maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor, protect assets, and uphold company policies in a fast-paced retail environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll and cash handling and loss prevention.
• Maintain store areas to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and ensure associates follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep store clean including bathrooms, floors, trash and neatness.
• Other duties as assigned.
