Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Pennsylvania LLC in Boswell, PA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver great customer service, and develop the team.

You will assist with daily store activities, merchandise flow, opening/closing procedures, and adherence to company policies while fostering a safe, friendly environment for customers and associates. This role offers hands-on leadership in a fast-paced retail setting with opportunities to grow your career.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Ensure the seasonal areas of the store are maintained
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure all associates follow them
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe environment with professional interactions
• Keep the store clean and presentable, including bathrooms and floors
• Other duties as assigned
