Family Dollar Stores Of Pennsylvania LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, support customer service, and develop the store team in Tarentum, PA. This role supports daily activities, merchandising, and adherence to company policies.

The position emphasizes opening/closing procedures, loss prevention, staff training, and maintaining a clean, organized store that delivers a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills required.
• Strong problem solving and decision‑making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and other communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for store front effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash deposits).
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash, and adhere to safety guidelines.
