Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Pennsylvania LLC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and help supervise staff to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, payroll and scheduling records, loss prevention, and ensuring promotional displays meet company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, cash deposits and receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash; adhere to safety policies.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
