The Salvation Army thrift store in Riverside, CA is seeking a Lead Sales Associate for a part-time role. You will help manage daily store operations, provide excellent customer service, and guide staff to meet sales goals while maintaining donations and inventory standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, POS transactions, scheduling, coaching, and ensuring shop safety and security. The position supports ARC programs and community outreach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
• Must have a minimum of one-year previous retail experience and Supervisory experience preferred.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, store employees, customers and donor.

Responsabilités

• Takes an active role and partners with the Store Manager in daily store operations, including opening/closing procedures, POS operations, inventory management and rotation, ARC merchandising standards and donations.
• Assumes responsibility for all day-to-day store operations (including personnel and cash handling) in the absence of the Store and/or Assistant Manager.
• Assists Store Manager to monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive store sales and increase profitability as projected by budget and goals set by Command Retail Directors and Command Administration.
• In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager - Schedule Store Employees to ensure coverage, coordinate daily team meetings, and provide coaching and training to staff.
• Ensure high levels of customer and donor satisfaction through excellent service and community relations.
• BRP (Back Room Processing) – Support Store Manager to ensure Back Room Processors/Warehouse Associates work effectively and efficiently to meet daily processing goals.
• Responsible for supervision, support, and conduct reporting of program Beneficiaries if or when Work Therapy Assignments are put in place at the store.
• In the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager - Responsible for the protection and security of store currency, inventory, and property.
• Ensure building is secured during non-operating hours with alarm system arming and alert protocol.
• May transfer or be relocated to other stores based on business needs.
• Completes all tasks as assigned by the District Sales Manager, Command Retail Directors and Command Administration.
