Job summary

Five Below is seeking a motivated retail leader to wow customers and train crew. You will oversee daily store operations, open/close procedures, stock handling, and safety protocols while ensuring a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You will lead onboarding and ongoing staff development, drive sales, manage expenses, and partner with leadership on merchandising. Prior management and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• College experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Creative thinking.
• Ability to maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Wows customers through personal contact with customers.
• Trains crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensures fast, friendly checkout.
• Oversees daily activities of store associates and ensures excellent customer service.
• Assists with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock for quick placement on the sales floor.
• Acts as Manager on Duty, taking responsibility for store operations, staff, and urgent issues.
• Manages opening/closing of the store, cash handling, doors, alarms, and daily setup.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training of associates on store policies and procedures.
• Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising and staff performance.
• Partners with store leadership on merchandising procedures and World Recovery.
• Performs store maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
