Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and help develop team members, while upholding Dollar Tree's standards. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor, ensure seasonal areas are properly displayed, and maintain accurate pricing and signage.

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or similar environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits/receipts; assist with loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, organized sales floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe environment with professional interactions with customers and colleagues.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage bathrooms and floors.
• Other duties as assigned.
