Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, organize merchandise, and help train store associates while ensuring a safe, friendly environment for customers.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and prior store-management experience in retail or related fields. Full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and frequent walking/standing
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a neat, well-stocked store and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed; supervise and train Store Associates.
• Create a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
