Job summary

The Department of Juvenile Justice in Georgia is seeking a part-time Recruiter to hire talent for the agency. This hourly role supports facilities in Augusta and Washington, GA, coordinates job fairs, posts positions, and recruits for hard-to-fill roles; work is under 30 hours per week and not eligible for benefits.

You will establish recruiting plans, source candidates through colleges and community outreach, build relationships with partners, screen applications, and attend job fairs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited college or university AND two years of related experience in human resources.
• Equivalent combination of education and job-specific experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Establish recruiting requirements by studying plans and meeting with managers and HR staff to discuss needs and create recruitment plans.
• Build applicant sources by researching and contacting colleges, military installations, outreach programs and other sources.
• Build relationships with partners.
• Review applications to determine qualifications for the position.
• Coordinate and attend job fairs.
• Provide consultation to managers on HR policies and procedures.
• Post job announcements and screen applicants using applicant tracker.
• Update job knowledge through educational opportunities and professional networks.
• Research area locations to determine recruiting strategy.
• Some day and overnight travel may be required.
