Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking a part-time Recruiter to support the Macon RYDC. This hourly role focuses on staffing needs, posting positions, coordinating job fairs, and recruiting for hard-to-fill positions for the State of Georgia.

The position is under 30 hours per week, not eligible for benefits, and requires strong collaboration with facilities, managers, HR staff, and community outreach partners to attract qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited college
• Or university
• Two years of related experience in human resources
• An equivalent combination of education and job specific experience may be substituted on a year-over-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Establish recruiting requirements by studying organization plans and meeting managers and HR staff to discuss needs and recruitment plans.
• Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, military installations outreach programs and other sources to share information, opportunities, and benefits.
• Build relationships with partners.
• Review applications to determine if the applicant meets the qualifications needed for the position applied.
• Coordinate and attend job fairs.
• Provide consultation to managers on HR policies and procedures.
• Post job announcements and screen applicants using applicant tracker (Team Georgia Careers).
• Update job knowledge by learning opportunities and professional networks.
• Research areas to determine best recruiting strategies within communities.
• Occasional travel may be required.
