Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Arizona is seeking a part-time paraprofessional to assist certified teachers in monitoring and instructing special education students under supervision. You will help implement IEPs, support daily living activities, and relieve teachers of clerical tasks.

Responsibilities include tutoring, material development, data collection on goals, and upholding positive behavior plans. This role requires standing, lifting, and occasional assistance with medical-related student needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 60 college credits or ParaPro Test required.
• Preference for high school diploma and experience with children.
• Ability to work under supervision with certified staff.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom work and reinforce objectives under teacher direction.
• Assist in developing instructional materials and maintaining the classroom.
• Collect data on academic and behavior goals as instructed.
• Support positive behavior intervention plans and crisis policies.
• Assist with student transfers and daily living activities.
• Provide personal care support as needed and accompany students across campus.
