Job summary

Millennium Health in Yakima, WA is seeking a Part-Time Female Specimen Collector. You will collect urine or saliva specimens, and prepare them for shipping while acting as a liaison between clinics and the laboratory.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months as a specimen collector or 1+ year in a medical setting, plus 2+ years in customer service. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 6+ months experience as a specimen collector or 1+ year medical field experience preferred.
• 2+ years in customer service helpful.
• Must be able to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient and physician order details and lab information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens as applicable.
• Driving between facilities may be required.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

6+ months specimen collector experience or 1+ year medical experience

2+ years customer service experience

Ability to navigate smartphone and computer

Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation
