Job summary

Millennium Health in Longview, WA is hiring a Full-Time Specimen Collector. This role collects urine/adult fluids, processes specimens for shipping, and interfaces between clinics and the lab. The position requires strong customer service and basic tech skills, plus a valid driver’s license for local travel.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months collecting or 1+ year in medical support, and familiarity with HIPAA and compliance standards. Medical background checks are part of the onboarding process.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of specimen collector experience or 1+ year in medical field.
• 2+ years of customer service can substitute direct medical experience.
• Must navigate smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with HIPAA/HiTrust/compliance policies.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician orders, and lab details.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient info in portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens as applicable.
• Driving between facilities may be required.
