Job summary

Millennium Health in Longview, WA is hiring a Full Time Specimen Collector to collect urine and oral fluid specimens, process and package them for shipping, and act as the liaison between clinics and the laboratory. This role supports accurate specimen handling and patient care.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months in specimen collection or 1+ year in healthcare, 2+ years in customer service, a valid driver’s license, and comfort with smartphones and computers. A High School diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in the medical field supporting patients
• 2+ years of customer service experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• HIPAA/HiTrust/compliance awareness required
• Sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens
• Process and package collections for shipping
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory
• Record patient information and order details accurately
• Resolve specimen concerns in ordering portal
• Maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens
• Driving between facilities may be required
