Job summary

Eugene School District 4J is seeking a full-time Special Education teacher for the 2026/27 year, with a daily schedule of 8am–4pm. The role focuses on implementing and adapting instructional programs for students with identified needs, while fostering a positive learning environment aligned to district benchmarks.

The position requires a valid Oregon Special Education certificate; ESOL endorsement is preferred, along with experience working with diverse populations and collaboration with staff

Qualifications

• Valid Oregon teacher's certificate with a Special Education Endorsement.
• ESOL endorsements preferred.
• Evidence of multi-cultural experience and cultural competency.
• Bilingual proficiency and/or multicultural experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school personnel to design and adapt instructional programs for identified students.
• Implement and monitor IEP/504/TAG plans and adjust as needed.
• Lead data-based instructional decisions and adapt curriculum for diverse learners.
• Maintain open communication with parents and Educational Support Services staff.
• Participate in SST meetings and provide guidance to educational assistants.
