Job summary

Baltic Elementary School, in partnership with Sioux Falls YMCA, seeks a Site Lead to create a fun, structured, and enriching experience for students after school. You will work with the Site Coordinator and fellow Site Leads to provide leadership, safety, and positive engagement in a supportive environment.

This role involves collaborating on lesson plans, supervising children, and maintaining a smooth daily schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in educational, camp, or childcare settings.
• Classroom management and behavior management experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and support daily lesson plans and activities.
• Effectively manage student behaviors using positive reinforcement and classroom management strategies.
• Assist with program logistics, including setup, cleanup, and organization of materials.
• Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and guardians as needed.
• Help maintain safety and supervision of all children.
• Model professionalism and enthusiasm for students and staff.
