Job summary

Convive Brands is seeking a part-time team member for Le Pain Quotidien in NYC. You will provide friendly service, take orders, and assist in daily operations to ensure a warm guest experience.

The role involves handling orders through a POS, coordinating with the kitchen, and contributing to a clean, organized dining room and retail space. Prior restaurant experience and flexibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast, is a plus.
• Willingness to be cross-trained in dining room and retail spaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the visit.
• Receive food and beverage orders, enter into POS, and coordinate with kitchen as needed.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences; maintain knowledge of pastry, bread, and beverages.
• Prepare drinks for the dining room as needed.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and escalate to a manager when necessary.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; daily checklist and side work.
• Organize money and receipts in line with cash handling policies.
• Help set up patio furniture and outdoor seating where applicable.
