Job summary

Convive Brands, owner of Le Pain Quotidien, seeks friendly team members to deliver warm hospitality in a busy NYC-area restaurant. Roles include serving guests, handling orders, and maintaining pastry and beverage displays with care.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, Toast preferred.
• Schedule flexibility is highly valued.
• Cross-training across dining room and retail space is preferred.
• Ability to speak/read/understand the primary language of the work location.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the visit.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences.
• Prepare drinks for retail and dining room, including batches for the retail counter.
• Bag, box, and arrange to-go food and pastries.
• Process sales transactions per cash handling policy.
• Keep pastry displays full and organized.
• Maintain knowledge of all pastry, bread, kitchen, beverage, and retail items.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and escalate to management when needed.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; perform daily checklist and side work.
• Keep areas clean by following cleaning checklists.
• Answer the phone with proper etiquette and take orders.
