Job summary

Convive Brands and Le Pain Quotidien in New York are looking for team members who take pride in hospitality and delivering warm, attentive service. You will contribute to a welcoming dining room, assist with pastry and beverage prep, and support team collaboration in a dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, opportunities to grow within a brand family, and a strong emphasis on community and customer care.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast, is a plus.
• Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to be cross-trained in all dining room and retail areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, attentive service to all guests throughout the visit.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences.
• Prepare drinks for retail and dining room, including batches for retail counter.
• Bag, box, and arrange to-go food and pastry.
• Handle sales transactions per cash handling policy.
• Maintain pastry display and knowledge of items.
• Resolve guest situations with empathy and escalate when needed.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures; daily checklist and side work.
• Keep restaurant clean and organized per cleaning checklists.
• Answer phones with proper etiquette; take orders.
