Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in Rye, NY is seeking part-time team members to deliver warm hospitality and support a welcoming guest experience. You will prepare drinks, assist retail and dining areas, and help maintain pastry displays.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast.
• Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to cross-train in all dining room and retail areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests during the visit.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences.
• Prepare drinks for retail and dining room, including batches for the counter.
• Bag, box, and arrange to-go food and pastry.
• Process sales transactions per cash handling policy.
• Maintain and refresh pastry display throughout the day.
• Maintain knowledge of pastry, bread, kitchen, drinks, and retail items.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and elevate to a manager when needed.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures and daily checklist.
• Keep all areas clean and organized by following cleaning checklists.
• Answer phones with proper etiquette and take orders over the phone.
