Job summary

City of Concord Parks & Recreation Department seeks a part-time Senior Citizen Coordinator to support its senior programs year-round. The role involves planning, organizing, and running activities, plus supervising a drop-in program several days a week at Concord and Penacook locations.

Applicants should have experience with senior citizens, Red Cross First Aid and Infant & Child CPR, and be able to complete all required paperwork. Background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Combination of education and experience working with Senior Citizens.
• Current Red Cross First Aid and Infant & Child CPR.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing and running the senior citizens program.
• Set up and supervise the drop-in Senior Program 3–4 days a week.
• Assist with gathering program surveys and compiling results in Excel; prepare reports in Word.
• Ensure paperwork such as contracts, time sheets, attendance and maintenance reports is completed timely.
• Follow department rules, enforce safety, and promote positive public relations.
