Job summary

City of Germantown seeks a Recreation Program professional to plan, promote, and organize senior adult programs, events, classes, and trips. You will coordinate facilities, secure instructors, and manage marketing efforts for a broad community audience.

Responsibilities include budgeting, reporting, and maintaining program records; you will work with Parks and Recreation staff to ensure high-quality experiences for seniors and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• College degree in a related field and two years of recreation programming experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of community recreation program components and planning methods.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and in person with groups and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Plan, promote, organize, and implement a wide range of senior adult programs, events, classes and trips.
• Coordinate day and overnight trips for senior adults and accompany them on trips.
• Schedule facilities and manage use of spaces for programs and events for seniors.
• Secure qualified instructors, paid or volunteer, to conduct programs and classes.
• Develop and distribute marketing materials and publish a monthly senior newsletter.
