Job summary

Aston Carter is hiring a Senior HR Generalist for a part-time, contract-to-hire role based in Naperville, IL. You will partner with leadership to lead employee relations, ensure HR compliance, support performance management, and manage day-to-day people operations in a standalone HR capacity.

You will handle onboarding, LOA programs, benefits coordination, and HR reporting while acting as a trusted advisor to managers and employees in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong employee relations expertise including conflict resolution.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. employment law and multi-state compliance.
• Broad HR generalist experience across onboarding, offboarding, benefits, and HR operations.
• Proven ability to lead HR functions independently with policy development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers.
• Provide guidance to managers on performance management and coaching.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across HR processes.
• Develop, implement, and update HR policies and employee handbook.
