Job summary

The City of Pleasanton is seeking a dependable Recreation Leader III – Senior Center to support daily facility operations at the Pleasanton Senior Center in a part-time, temporary role, with weekday mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

You will set up and tear down rooms, organize storage and supplies, assist with light maintenance, and prepare coffee, ensuring a welcoming space for classes, programs, and events.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates understanding of program objectives, operations, supplies and needs.
• Demonstrates experience and/or familiarity with program operations.
• Demonstrates some experience in emergency procedures and safety protocols.
• May have taken classes or training courses in program area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down rooms for classes, programs, and events.
• Organize and maintain storage areas, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks and equipment assembly.
• Identify and report cleaning or facility concerns to Recreation staff.
• Coordinate with the facility coffee contractor to help ensure supplies are ordered and equipment is maintained.
• Assist with ordering equipment and supplies as needed.
• Prepare coffee daily for the Senior Center.
• Perform light cleaning of the facility as needed.
• Conduct bi-weekly inspections of outdoor areas and report concerns to appropriate City staff.
• Provide additional support to Recreation staff and assist with other assignments as needed.
