Job summary

The City of Irvine seeks a courteous and energetic individual to assist with preparation of facilities for recreation programs and special events at the Trabuco, Lakeview, and Rancho Senior Centers. This part-time role offers mornings and/or afternoons up to 19 hours per week.

You will help with the setup and breakdown of rooms, equipment and AV equipment, maintain facilities and equipment, support reception and events, and respond to patron needs with friendly service.

Qualifications

• Completion of high school and two years of college experience preferred, or equivalent knowledge and skills.
• Ability to push, pull, drag, lift, lean, stoop, twist and carry equipment up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing facilities and amenities for patron use, programs, events including weddings and meetings.
• Assist with the set-up and breakdown of rooms, equipment and audio/visual equipment, walk throughs, and customer service.
• Maintain facility and equipment; perform routine equipment maintenance as needed.
• Provide courteous assistance to patrons, City staff and Supervisors.
• Prepare logs and reports related to facility use, recreation, and outreach programs.
• Assist with reception desk support, special events, and ongoing programs.
• Respond to patrons' needs for assistance or information in a friendly and helpful manner.
