Job summary

City of Pleasanton is seeking a dependable, hands-on Recreation Leader III to support the Pleasanton Senior Center in a part-time, temporary role. You will help keep the center clean, organized, and welcoming for programs, classes, and activities, and assist with setup, teardown, supplies, and light maintenance.

You will work under the Recreation Supervisor or Recreation Coordinator to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive experience for participants, instructors, volunteers, and staff.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates understanding of program objectives, operations, supplies and needs.
• Experience with program operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with emergency procedures and safety protocols is preferred.
• May have taken classes or training courses in program area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down tables, chairs, rooms, and equipment for classes, programs and events.
• Organize and maintain storage areas, equipment, and program supplies.
• Assist with light maintenance tasks and equipment assembly.
• Identify and report cleaning or facility concerns to the Recreation Supervisor or Recreation Coordinator.
• Coordinate with coffee contractor to ensure supplies are ordered and equipment maintained.
• Assist with ordering equipment and supplies as needed.
• Prepare coffee daily for the Senior Center.
• Perform light cleaning of the facility as needed.
• Conduct bi-weekly inspections of outdoor areas and report concerns to City staff.
• Provide additional support to Recreation staff and assist with other assignments.
