Vaco Recruiter Services partners with an established organization to fill a Senior Accountant role on a part-time, 4-6 month contract in a hybrid setting in Orange County, CA.

This position focuses on month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting support, and special projects in a fast-paced accounting environment. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with GAAP expertise and strong Excel skills, with Yardi experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP and corporate accounting understanding.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules.
• Reconcile intercompany accounts and investigate variances.
• Review general ledger activity for data accuracy.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and month-end workpapers.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation entries.
• Track prepaid expenses and related amortization.
• Support payroll accounting and related journal entries.
• Assist with lender reporting and financial analyses.
• Prepare schedules for audits and tax filings.
• Support multi-entity accounting and special projects as needed.
