Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor for a long-term contract in Costa Mesa. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, support month-end close, financial reporting, and staff development in a fully onsite environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of supervisory experience, strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and ERP system experience. Large corporate background is preferred. Excellent communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting principles.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP experience.
• Experience in large corporate environment preferred.
• 2+ years supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting activities and support accounting team members.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Monitor compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Partner with cross-functional departments to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
